Who we work with
At Liverpool Orthotics, we provide a multidisciplinary approach that can be beneficial for a number of different purposes. No two people are the same and the needs of our patients vary wildly. We approach each new case with an open mind and work with you to realise your personal goals. We can also work with external organisations and individuals involved with your treatment. Examples of people we are able to offer services for include:
Individuals
Individual needs vary widely from person to person. Our orthotists work with patients to ensure a bespoke device tailored to meet the requirements of every individual person we treat. Liverpool Orthotics offer access to an extensive range of orthotic devices for treating and managing a wide range of conditions. It is possible for people to self refer into our services, or to be referred by another healthcare professional.
Children
We provide specialist footwear, paediatric gait analysis and treatment for flat head syndrome amongst other services specifically for children and adolescents. Our orthotists are experienced in working with children and are friendly and patient.
Solicitors
Our orthotists can produce legal reports suitable for solicitors for a range of purposes. Any reports that are requested can be provided such that they adhere to CPR part 35 and PD 35. Liverpool Orthotics provide expert witness statements and other reports suitable for legal purposes from across our multidisciplinary team.
Case Managers
Our orthotists are medico-legally trained and are able to work with case managers to ensure the best possible care for clients. Liverpool Orthotics can provide second opinions following an assessment and can suggest the most effective treatment options.
Schools
Liverpool Orthotics works with private schools, free schools, academies and special schools to provide a number of services. This provision can include visits for individual pupils or groups, and mobile clinics for assessment and fitting.
Care homes
We work with care homes to provide a number of services, including visits and provision for residents and support with social care. Liverpool Orthotics provide access to an extensive range of specialist orthotics that provide effective treatment and management options for many conditions including stroke and arthritis.
Local authorities
We are able to work with Local Authorities to deliver our service to LEA schools and LA owned care homes as well as providing orthotic intervention as a potential alternative to relocating into a care home. Liverpool Orthotics provide access to an extensive range of specialist orthotics to treat many conditions including cerebral palsy, stroke and arthritis.
Charities
We are always interested in establishing new links and partnerships with charities and other organisations to help support the vital work that they do.
